Abstract
Details of the transmission interferometric method are: presented for the d etermination of dielectric constant and loss tangent of liquids in the micr owave frequency region. This method without much modification can be used f or solids in the form of sheets, and is more accurate than some of the well -established transmission line measurement methods. This method has been us ed at 9.28 GHz for the dielectric parameter measurements and results for oi ls (mustard and soyabean) and petroleum products (kerosene and diesel) are presented here at room temperature.
