Abstract
Similarity analysis of heat and mass transfer processes in circulating flui dized beds (CFB) which operate according to Catalytic Cracking CFB and CFB Combustor schemes is performed. On this basis the rules of transport proces ses scaling are formulated in the form of a system of dimensionless governi ng parameters. Particle concentration distribution and heat transfer coeffi cient in a transport zone of the riser with a height 6.6 m are studied expe rimentally. The obtained and literature data on the values of rho and alpha (c-c) are generalized on the basis of the developed system of dimensionless groups. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
