Abstract
An analytical expression is found for the transmitted wave packet through a general, asymmetric double barrier structure, as well as for its width. Th is analytical expression is shown to be in agreement with previous treatmen ts of wave packet tunneling and, as such, is in agreement with previous num erical calculations.
