Abstract
The chelation behaviour of bisazo-beta-diketone compounds with La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Gd, Er, and Lu ions was investigated. Composition and stabili ty constants of the chelates have been determined by conductometric an d potentiometric techniques. Electronic absorption, IR, and H-1 NMR sp ectra as well as molar conductance and elemental and thermal analyses were used to characterize the complexes.
