Abstract
The problem of automation of logical design of discrete devices with the us e of the knowledge of experts is considered. On the basis of the production -frame model of knowledge representation suggested in the first part of the paper, certain strategies of design of discrete devices are described. As the base language, the language of hierarchical functional-structural descr iption of discrete devices is used.
