The effect of temperature on the crack-lattice trapping (CLT) phenomen
on is studied by employing the model of Thomson, Hsieh and Rana (1971,
J. appl. Phys., 42, 3154) and the self-consistent Einstein approach o
f Matsubara and Kamiya (1977, Prog. Theor. Phys., 58, 767). It is foun
d that lattice vibrations appreciably diminish the CLT effect and can
even lead to its disappearance.
