Abstract
The possibility of testing the S- and D-wave deuteron wave functions o n the basis of polarization features of nucleons from the reaction d(x , x)np is considered. The polarization of protons from the reaction d( K, K*)pn is calculated in a model approach that takes into account th e off-mass-shell properties of the (K) over bar N-scattering amplitude s and which assumes the dominance of the pole mechanisms. It is found that this approach is inapplicable to antikaon-induced reactions.
