High-energey bremsstrahlung from intermediate-energy nucleon-nucleus c
ollisions is studied in the quantum optical model. It is shown that th
eoretical results obtained by solving the radial Schrodinger equation
numerically are in better agreement with relevant experimental data th
ose corresponding to the first-order Born approximation. These numeric
al results are very sensitive to changes in the parameters of the opti
cal potential. It is shown that the yields of photons from proton-nucl
eus and neutron-nucleus collisions are on the same order of magnitude.
