This paper presents a new method for the preparation of cellulose-ii single
crystals by slow diffusion of hydrogen chloride into dilute copper-(II) et
hylenediamine solution. The electron diffraction diagrams of the obtained c
rystals distinctly show the single crystal characteristic of the analyzed c
rystals. The magnitude of observable diffraction maxima is reported for the
first time. The evaluation of the diffraction maxims determined by densito
metric methods conforms well with the results published in literature.
