Abstract
The structural parameters a(Omega), c(Omega) and z(Omega), of the omeg a phase in the Zr-Nb system have been studied by combining our neutron diffraction measurements with experimental data from the literature. In this way trends have been established, which have been used in syst ematising the relations between omega and he parent bcc phase. In addi tion, a systematic analysis has been performed of the composition depe ndence of three relevant interatomic distances in omega.
