Abstract
HPLC with UV and electrochemical detection has routinely been employed for the determination of the opioid antagonist naltrexone in serum. Sample prep aration protocols range from liquid/liquid to solid phase extraction. The s ample preparation described in this communication uses ultrafiltration as t he mode of sample preparation prior to HPLC analysis. The method is accurat e, precise and saves considerable time compared to previously published tec hniques.
