We have investigated the energy and angular distributions of the low energy
electron emission in a pure three-body ion-atom collision involving atomic
hydrogen as target. The double differential ionization cross sections have
been measured for C6++H (nu = 6 - 10 a.u.). The CDW-EIS calculations provi
de an excellent agreement with the data except some discrepancies in the ba
ckward angles. These observations clearly show that the two center mechanis
m plays a major role in emission of low energy electrons.
