Abstract
Using a classical treatment we calculate ionization and capture cross secti ons for stripped ions A(q+) (q=1,...,8) colliding With H, H-2. For the diat omic target, we employ an independent particle model with a single center e ffective hamiltonian. An initial hydrogenic distribution is employed. The i mpact energy range is 6 keV < E < 30 MeV, and for conciseness, we only comp are our data to experiment.
