Oxidation of polypropyleneketone by molecular oxygen in the range 80-190 de
grees C has been investigated. The rate of oxygen consumption decreases wit
h increasing temperature in the range 140-150 degrees C. Reaction involves
mainly the zones of short-range order violation comprising about 11% of the
polymer. Mechanisms of the phenomena are discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Scie
