The method for utilization of waste water from dimethyloformamide solvent r
egeneration tower in Butadiene Extraction Plant in Petrochemia Flock was wo
rked out. The odorous waste water with Chemical Oxygen Demand value over 25
000 mg O-2/dm(3), contains several organic substances. The most effective w
as for its utilization appeared wet peroxide oxidation method. After the ox
idation over 70% organic contaminants can be removed and the waste water be
comes odourless, so it can be led directly into industrial sewage system of
rafinery. Because of a wide variety of organic compounds that can be remov
ed this method application may be widened for different waste water streams
in other industries.
