Abstract
Sorption behavior of actinides in mixed HNO3-CH3COOH solutions was studied in relation to concentrations of both acids and ion exchanger nature. The c onditions were found allowing concentration and separation of some actinide s by anion exchangers using HNO3-CH3COOH solutions as eluents. Solutions co ntaining more than 90% CH3COOH and greater than or equal to 1 M HNO3 are su itable for concentrating actinides on both anion and cation exchangers. Adv antages of using acetic acid solutions of HNO3 for leaching of actinides fr om natural objects followed by radiochemical separation were analyzed.
