Abstract
Using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time-of-flight mass spect rometry (MALDI-TOFMS) we studied the decomposition pathway of a prooligonuc leotide during incubation in a crude cell extract. This study, involving no sample processing, except drop dailysis to remove salts, led us to identif y more than thirty metabolites from several metabolic pathways.
