Abstract
The effect on carbon deposition of basic parameters of ethylene glycol oxid ation into glyoxal on a copper catalyst was studied. Recommendations are gi ven for lowering the amount of compaction products by varying the process t emperature, oxygen:ethylene glycol molar ratio, ethylene glycol concentrati on, and nitrogen flow rate.
