The four-probe conductivity and magnetoresistance (MR) in micron-scale for
the iodine-doped polyacetylene (PA) fiber network were measured. A remarkab
ly weaker temperature dependence of resistivity compared to that of the bul
k PA film was observed. The transverse MR at T = 1.5 K was negative and its
relative magnitude was approximately 0.1% at H = 10 T. The slow oscillator
y tendency with small amplitude was suggested in MR. The results suggest th
e importance of contact barriers in the nanosize PA fiber network. (C) 1999
