Abstract
The crystal structure of the polymeric title compound, [Cu(C5H4O4)](n), con tains infinite chains of copper-carboxylate units in which the copper is co ordinated in a planar manner by the O atoms. The chains are linked by -O-Cu -O- bridges resulting in a three-dimensional polymeric structure.
