If a pregnancy begins in a retroverted uterus it spontaneously reverts to a
n upward position before the 14th week. Only in a few cases does the uterus
persist in the retroverted position and it will be wedged in the pelvic ca
vity as it grows. We present the third case report in the literature where
incarceration of the retroverted gravid uterus occurred twice in the same w
oman(1, 2).
