Mn. Vacheron et al., Current nosographic position and diagnosis difficulties of pseudo-obsessive compulsive schizophrenia: A study from three case report, ANN MED PSY, 157(6), 1999, pp. 402-410
Proceeding from three case report, the authors try to review pseudo-obsessi
ve schizophrenia within contempory anglo-saxon nosography. They study the c
linical aspect of border-lines, obsessive-compulsive disorder with psychoti
c features, and schizophrenia with obsessive-compulsive symptoms, that they
compare to pseudo-obsessive compulsive schizophrenia.
Diagnosis of pseudo-neurotic schizophrenia is difficult at the onset of ill
ness and requires strict semiological analysis. The prognosis remains depen
dent on mt early therapeutic intervention adjusted to the psychotic nature
or not of the clinical picture.
