Abstract
The geographic distribution. life history, and larval feeding habits of ten species of Tetanocera that prey on aquatic pulmonate snails are presented. All species are generalist predators of a broad mix of aquatic pulmonate s nails. Differences in phenologies are apparent. Seven species are univoltin e, whereas three are multivoltine. Three species overwinter as pupae, one s pecies overwinters as partially grown larvae, and four species pass the win ter months as diapausing first-instar larvae within eggs.
