In this paper we consider a linear time-varying system whose state equation
is affected by time delays and subject to unknown, square integrable distu
rbances. Using a differential games approach, we provide a necessary and su
fficient condition for the existence of an optimal control law minimizing t
he H-infinity norm of the operator mapping the disturbance to the weighted
control and terminal state. An example, which illustrates the proposed tech
