Abstract
PKX is the aetiological agent of proliferative kidney disease (PKD) in salm onid fish. This communication reports, the first demonstration, based on mo lecular evidence, that PKX occurs in Bryozoa in the United Kingdom. In addi tion, this is the first record of PKX in bryozoans collected from riverine habitats known to be enzootic for PKD.
