Abstract
A white spot baculovirus (WSBV) caused mass mortality in shrimp farms on th e western coast of Korea was detected. By electron microscopy and DNA analy sis, the virus was typically rod shaped, 235 x 127 nm in size and the total viral DNA was 114.8kb. PCR amplification of WSBV using PRDV primer set sho wed that PRDV was homologous to WSBV.
