Two different lead ion positions with tetragonal and orthorhombic local sym
metry were revealed in PbZrO3 ceramics on the base of Pb-207 NMR spectra me
asurements at room temperature. The obtained data and their analysis on the
base of the spectra shape calculations are in agreement with a symmetry of
Pbam nonpolar group space of PbZrO3. The comparison of observed spectra in
PbTiO3 and PbZrO3 with calculated spectra allowing for resonance frequency
chemical shift and spin-spin interaction show that the displacements of le
ad and oxygen ions are not random quantities in the investigated PbZrO3 cer
amic samples.
