Abstract
A piezoelectric ceramic, based on PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 doped with Li, Nb and Mn , has been fabricated and rested. Good electromechanical properties were ob served for the ceramic, in particular, Q(m) and k(33) Were 1435 and 0.673, respectively; the addition of manganese increased the Q(m) remarkably. An o pen circuit gain of 1100 was determined for a transformer 2.4 mm thick and with a driver length of 12.6 mm. Using the second harmonic resonance to tes t the transformer, a voltage gain of 453 was observed with a load resistanc e of 100 M Omega.
