Abstract
The absorption spectra of (10,10) nanotubes are reported at varying concent rations. In addition, we have found that nanotubes are unable to photosensi tize formation of singlet oxygen (O-1(2)) and do not significantly quench i t. These results imply that nanotubes are not able to form long-lived or lo calized excited states.
