Abstract
This work presents an analysis of a narrowband active noise control (ANC) s ystem using the filtered-X least mean-square (LMS) algorithm. The origin an d characteristics of asymmetric out-of-band overshoot are investigated. A p erturbation technique is used to quantify the pole displacements of the sys tem transfer function due to the secondary path delay.
