Abstract
Fe20Ag80 granular films prepared by ion-beam cosputtering have been in vestigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy and de susceptibility measurement s. The as-sputtered Fe20Ag80 films consist of small magnetic particles embedded in the Ag matrix. The system is in a superparamagnetic state at temperatures above 30 K. Below 30 K, the plm begins to show slow m agnetic relaxation and by further lowering the temperature, a super-sp in-glass phase is formed around 20 K. (C) 1997 Acta Metallurgica Inc.
