Abstract
Polymer supported Meldrum's acid anion is treated with various aryl diazoni um fluoroborates at 25 degrees C in acetonitrile to give corresponding 5-ar ylhydrazones of Meldrum's acid in good yield. Isolation of pure products by simple filtration and evaporation is an important feature of this method.
