Abstract
Spectral characteristics of the p(+)-side of a two-sided microstrip detecto r were studied with the help of gamma- and beta-rays from Am-241 and Sr-90 radioactive sources. For minimally ionizing particles (MIP) the measured si gnal-to-noise ratio was 25, It was shown that for collecting the informatio n from strip detectors one can use an OLA amplifier developed for detectors with a small self-capacitance.
