The effects of water-rock interaction and transport mechanism on the l
imits of radionuclide migration through aquifer rocks are considered.
The consideration is based on an analysis of analytical solutions of s
imultaneous differential equations that describe radioactive decay, in
filtration and diffusion transport of radionuclides, and radionuclide
fixation on rock minerals and takes into account the kinetics of water
-mineral radionuclide exchange reactions. The model is applied to calc
ulate the limits of Sr-90 and Cs-137 migration.
