This study concerns the transfer of the "water-ethylacetate" system, throug
h a polymer material, the polydimethylsiloxane, at various degrees of retic
ulation. From these experimental results, the transfer of matter can be exp
ressed for small contents of ester, using the Fick law in which the diffusi
on coefficient is constant. The absence of flux coupling is demonstrated by
the fact that the water diffusion coefficient in the silicon giving accoun
t of the global transfer in pervaporation, is identical to its measured val
ue in pure water.
