Abstract
We first detected glutathionyl hemoglobin (Hb) beta-chain in hemodialysis p
atients and healthy subjects using electrospray ionization liquid chromatog
raphy-mass spectrometry. The ratio of glutathionyl Hb beta-chain to total b
eta-chain was markedly increased in the hemodialysis patients as compared w
ith healthy subjects. Glutathionyl Hb will be used as a new clinical marker
