A. Pantoja et al., Development of Oebalus ornatus (Sailer) and Oebalus insularis (Stal) (Hemiptera : Pentatomidae) on rice, J ENTOM SCI, 34(3), 1999, pp. 335-338
The development and reproduction of Oebalus insularis (Stal) and O, ornatus
(Sailer) were studied on rice. Both females and males of O. insularis took
longer to complete development than O. ornatus. Both species complete deve
lopment in five instars. No significant differences in the number of days t
o lay eggs, the days ovipositing, and the number of eggs were detected betw
een species.
