Abstract
Application of silicon tetrafluoride to fluorinations with xenon difluoride as a catalyst is investigated. It was found that vic-difluorination of phe nyl alkenes and transformation of benzaldehydes to difluoromethoxybenzenes using xenon difluoride are enhanced by silicon tetrafluoride.
