Abstract
The chelate complexes [W(CO)(4)(2-Ph2PC6H4N(R)R')] (R = R' = H: 1; R = H, R ' = Me: 2; R = R' = Me: 3) and [Mo(CO)(4)(2-Ph2PC6H4NMe2)] (4) were prepare d and characterized by X-ray structure analysis. Treatment of 1 and 2 with [H(OEt2)(2)][B{3,5-C6H3(CF3)(2)}(4)] provided seven-coordinate ionic tungst en hydrides [WH(CO)(4)(2-Ph2PC6H4NH2)][B{3,5-C6H3(CF3)(2)}(4)] (5) and [WH( CO)(4)(2-Ph2PC6H4N(H)Me)][B{3,5-C6H3(CF3)(2)}(4)] (6). Compounds 3 and 4 re acted with NO[BF4] to form [M(CO)(3)(NO)(2-Ph2PC6H4NMe2)][BF4] (7) for M = W but [M(CO)(2)(NO)(2-Ph2PC6H4NMe2)FBF3] (8) for M = Mo.
