Abstract
Pyridine catalyses the ligand redistribution of o-methoxyphenyllead triacet ate to di(o-methoxyphenyl)lead diacetate. Characterisation of these two lea d (IV) compounds by single-crystal X-ray diffraction demonstrates a weak in teraction between the lead atom and the methoxy oxygen atom leading to an 8 -coordinate lead atom.
