Abstract
Pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid are distinct autoimmune blistering disease s that are characterised by the presence of autoantibodies directed against specific adhesion molecules of the skin and mucous membranes. The comparis on and contrast of molecular mechanism of blister formation of these two di seases provide a rational diagnostic and therapeutic approach to affected p atients.
