A freezing theory of agricultural products has been presented for desi
gn and application of a fluidized bed freezer. Freezing time can be ea
sily calculated from the analytical results of the applied method. Usi
ng this method the freezing time of green peas was estimated in detail
. The calculated values were in good agreement with the observed data.
It is expected that this method would be useful for operating fluidiz
ed bed freezer of frozen food.
