Ea. Efimov, PATTERNS THE RESTORATION OF SKIN DERIVATI VES IN HOMOIOTHERMIC ANIMALS, Izvestia Akademii nauk SSSR. Seria biologiceskaa, (2), 1997, pp. 142-148
It is known that the skin derivatives in homoiothermic animals appear
in the early prenatal period of development and do not form during pos
tnatal development. However, during skin regeneration, a process of se
condary development, it was shown experimentally on eight homoiothermi
c animals, in which full-layered fragments of skin were removed from d
ifferent morphofunctional regions of skin, that in the skin regenerate
s its derivatives are formed: hair, sebaceous and swat glands, and ski
n folds. The data obtained suggest that formation of the hair and seba
ceous glands requires the presence of special dermal fibroblasts in th
e young connective tissue of regenerants, which are capable of inducti
on of the potencies of regenerating epidermis for organogenesis.
