Me. Grigoreva et al., THE EFFECT OF MODIFIED FORMS OF VASOPRESS IN ON HOMEOSTASIS IN RATS, Izvestia Akademii nauk SSSR. Seria biologiceskaa, (2), 1997, pp. 238-241
The effect of modified forms of vasopressin (MFV) that do not posses h
ormonal activity on homeostasis in rats was studied. One of the major
effects of vasopressin (AVP) and its analogs on the bloodclotting syst
em, changes in fibrinolytic activity (FA) and the activity of plasmino
gen activator (APA), depends on modifications of the amino acid sequen
ce in the peptide molecule. The presence of glycinamide in the AVP mol
ecule enhances FA and APA. AVP molecules without the glycinamide group
exert a more marked influence on procoagulative activity in blood.
