Abstract
Fast, simple and accurate analytic expressions are derived for calculating the quasistatic TEM parameters of a multilayer cylindrical coplanar strip l ine (MC CPS). The effects of the dielectric materials on the quasi-TEM char acteristics are investigated using the conformal mapping method The derived results are compared with those of a corresponding planar CPS. The curvatu re effects on the quasistatic parameters are also discussed. In addition, i t has been observed that the effect of the inner substrate on the quasistat ic parameters is much less than the outer substrate. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
