Abstract
The Ni/NiO composite was prepared by using the fast method of microwave- as sisted oxidation. Amorphous Ni nanoparticles were used as a precursor, and the oxidizing agent was oxygen. By using vapors of H2O2, almost complete ox idation of nickel was achieved. The products were characterized using XRD, TEM, and EDX as crystalline materials. (C) 1999 Acta Metallurgica Inc.
