Abstract
The formation of stationary pulses (autosolitons) in an optical waveguide w ith nonlinear gain an losses is carried out, which takes into account the f inite relaxation times of media and the finite widths of the loss and/or ga in profiles. Using numerical simulation, the feasibility of rigid excitatio n of especially stable autosoliton pulses for certain relationships between waveguide parameters is demonstrated.
