Abstract
A double-comb polysiloxane with, ethylene oxide side chains, poly[bis(2-(2- (2-methoscyethoxy)ethoxy)- ethoxy)propylsiloxane] (1) has been, prepared. T he conductivity and thermal properties of this polymer are compared to thos e of a single-comb polysiloxane, -[CH3-RSiO](n) - (2), which contains an, e qual number of oxygen. donor atoms. Maximum conductivities of 3.9 x 10(-4) S cm(-1) for 1 and 1.0 x 10(-4) S cm(-1) for 2 were found at room temperatu re with oxygen to Li+ ratios of about 40: 1.
