Abstract
An iterative method for solving the hot-plasma dispersion relation and comp uting power deposition during multispecies minority ion cyclotron resonance frequency (ICRF) heating experiments has been presented in a companion pap er [D. Testa, W.G.F.Core, and A.Gondhalekar, Phys. Plasmas (this issue)]. H ere this method is further developed to model and validate the measurements of minority hydrogen isotope ion distribution functions during multispecie s second harmonic ICRF heating of deuterium plasmas in the Joint European T orus [J.Wesson, Tokamaks (Clarendon, Oxford, 1997), pp. 581-603].
