Considering the Boltzmann response of the ions and electrons in plasma dyna
mics and inertial dynamics of the dust charged grains embedded in a constan
t magnetic field, the nature of the electrostatic potential near a plasma b
oundary is investigated. Based on the fluid approximation, the formation, a
s well as the characteristic behaviors, of sheath in plasma contaminated wi
th dust charged grains is studied. It is expected that the presence of dust
charged grains will lead to a very different behavior of the sheath as com
pared to that of electron-ion plasma. Moreover, in the presence of an appli
ed magnetic field the sheath exhibits novel features. (C) 1999 American Ins
